With over 10 years of experience in the senior care industry growing a network of family care homes and an in-home care agency in the Chapel Hill area of NC, I've witnessed firsthand the challenges families face when navigating the complexities of senior living options. This experience inspired me to create Senior Placement Solutions. I'm passionate about empowering families with the knowledge, resources, and support they need to make informed decisions for their loved ones. From the moment I graduated college, I knew I wanted to make a difference. My career began in senior living as an Admissions and Sales Coordinator, where I witnessed firsthand the unique needs and challenges families face when navigating life transitions. This rewarding experience ignited a passion for helping seniors. While I loved working with seniors, my passion for education eventually led me to teaching elementary school at Gaston Day, where my two wonderful children (pictured above) now attend! Being a mom has deepened my appreciation for family and the importance of caring for loved ones, especially during challenging times. My family has always been deeply committed to being there for one another, and this value is something I carry with me in everything I do. Now, I'm thrilled to combine these experiences – my understanding of senior living, my passion for education, and my dedication to family – to serve seniors, their families and our community in a new and meaningful way.

My journey has taken me down some wonderful and fulfilling paths.  For 20 years, I was an elementary library assistant, nurturing young minds and fostering a love of learning.  That experience taught me the importance of patience, understanding, and truly listening to individual needs.  After retiring from teaching, my focus shifted to family caregiving, a role I have embraced for over a decade, caring for my mother-in-law, mother, and brother has given me invaluable insight into the challenges seniors and their families face.  I learned firsthand the importance of finding the right support, the right environment, and the right community for a loved one to thrive weather that is a personal home or senior living environment.  My creative side also blossomed during this time, leading me to pursue my passion for interior design and custom draperies.  I discovered how crucial a comfortable and well-designed living space is for overall well-being, especially for seniors.  Now, I'm excited to combine these experiences – my teaching background, my caregiving experience, and my design sensibilities – to help other families navigate the often-complex world of senior living.  I understand the emotional and practical considerations involved, and I'm dedicated to providing compassionate, personalized guidance every step of the way.
